Welcome to the Greek Orthodox of Cathedral of Sts. Constantine and Helen. Founded in 1913, Sts. Constantine and Helen was the first Greek Orthodox Church on Long Island. Established by the Greek immigrants who came to the United States at the turn of the 19th century, the Cathedral has stood as a beacon of the Orthodox Faith and Hellenism in the area of Brooklyn Heights.

The Greek Orthodox Church has her fulfillment in the event of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came down upon the disciples in the form of tongues of fire. Jesus says in the Gospel of St. Matthew, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." MT11:28-30

It is this rest and peace that is at the center of the Greek Orthodox Community in the worship of the Divine Liturgy. The liturgy commemorates the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May your worship experience be fulfilled through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God, the Father.
